“And you’re still sure that she was the one that killed ol’ girl?”
“I saw her there with my own eyes, Chase,” Neka answered with annoyance. “Yes, I’m sure.”
“I’m just saying, if she was taking the disk to the wife to exploit the husband, then why would she end up killing the woman?”
“You’d have to ask the murderer that herself. Maybe Mrs. Trimble threatened to have her arrested for defamation of character or extortion. I don’t know.”
“Mickey came by my house the other day,” Chase confessed. “She’s pretty sure that you’re somehow the one that put the police on to her for the murder rap.”
Neka eyed Chase once more.
“And what makes her think that?”
Chase shrugged.
“I don’t know and I didn’t confirm nothing, so you can stop looking at me sideways. Hell, the way I see it, Naomi and I are the ones who have really gotten screwed in this whole deal. Neither one of your plans got any of us the money we thought we’d be getting. This is some bullshit. Poor, Naomi…girl, you actually slept with that man…and for nothing.”
Naomi stared out of the window trying to piece together everything that she knew. It was clear that Chase and her friend were somehow responsible for screwing this Mickey girl out of the original con and setting her up for the murder of Brandon’s wife. But why was Mickey trying to extort money from the Trimbles to begin with? What was her relationship with Brandon that she would want to ruin his marriage and possibly his career? It occurred to her that it was definitely no coincidence that the girl was also being sued by a woman who was apparently having some kind of relationship with Brandon.
“Yeah,” Naomi agreed. “I actually slept with that man.”
She was pissed that he had all of this drama going on yet was treating her as if she was beneath him. Sure she’d agreed to take part in the scheme but in her defense, she hadn’t known all of the particulars. Hell, she just knew that she needed the money. She had been big enough to come clean with him, yet he wasn’t giving her any credit for that. In the end, she’d lost out on money and the man she was falling in love with. Naomi was livid at the thought that he was screwing the skinny, white woman and potentially, this Mickey chick. Listening to the way Chase and her friend were tearing Mickey apart made Naomi want to get out of the car. But she didn’t. She was determined to stay and learn all that she could because in the end, she vowed that she was going to come out on top of all of this mess.

The sun was shining and women were passing by him in waves: all different colors, shapes and sizes of women galore. He loved being on the campus of the all female college. It sort of made his dick hard. But he wasn’t there to troll for new pussy.
